Congratulations to John Teeples and Doug Beh!
Lighting plays a leading role in our daily lives. It’s the most important component in our visual world. In fact, its presence accounts for up to 40 percent of energy consumption in buildings. That’s why it’s imperative to design efficient lighting systems that cut costs and reduce energy and maintenance.
As the lighting industry has grown and developed, the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) deemed it necessary to recognize educated and qualified lighting practitioners through a credentialing system. This program was implemented in 1991 and addresses issues ranging from safety, health, and energy conservation to environmental concerns, governmental policy and lighting technology.
This scope of material is addressed in the 4 hour Lighting Certified Examination through a series of questions focused on job-related case studies. These questions test the individual’s ability to gather information and make informed decisions through application-oriented knowledge and skill. In short, it’s no walk in the park.
Loeb Electric is very proud to announce that fellow colleagues, John Teeples and Doug Beh, have completed this credential process and after countless hours of training and a comprehensive exam, have earned the title of Lighting Certified Professionals. These credentials recognize and applaud their extensive industry knowledge in a specialized practice. This is a huge accomplishment for John and Doug and symbolizes Loeb Electric’s commitment to retaining the brightest and most educated people in our industry. Please send your congratulations!

PRSM show features new capabilities package for National Accounts.
On April 17, 2010, Loeb Electric traveled to Orlando, Florida to attend the annual Professional Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM) Convention. Every year Loeb Electric shares our retail lighting capabilities by showcasing our booth. This year we also presented a new and improved package of information. The new folder and brochure highlight our "Lifecycle Electrical Management" and energy saving products with a fresh, updated design. Our Lifecycle Management system includes all the tools and services of our National Accounts and Loeb Lighting Services groups and delivers them in a complete package. The package lets our customers know that we can take care of their stores' electrical needs before during and after construction in a cost-effective manner that enhances their company's brand. Click here to view the new brochure.
Loeb Electric also re-introduced our National Accounts website. The website is designed to be used in tandem with the brochure and booth and provides an ongoing communication venue for current and potential clients.
As usual, the "Right Light" ordering system was the star of our show. Right Light is the web-based application that uses ordering templates customized for each store. The power of the application is in how it makes sure the right lamps are going to each store, on-time and within pre-determined budgets.
With the retail-market bouncing back, attendance was up this year, giving the National Accounts team a great opportunity to meet and speak with many potential clients.
